Description
Level 3 Adventure for Shadowdark
Time: 3-4 hours
The crawling party is asked to find the Lost Eye of the Jaguar Sentinel, a huge powerful jewel that was found by inhabitants of the Undertoad Lair:
- Undertoad Throatsingers: Priestesses who bellow deep vibrato-toned spells with their bulging white throat sacs.
- Undertoad Snipers: Stealthy humanoid toads, shoot biting tadpoles through bamboo blowguns.
- The Undertoad Queen: A house-sized toad with powers granted to her by the Lost Eye, which she has swallowed.
- Friars of the Jade-Claw Brotherhood: Fanatics cloaked in hoods affixed with cloth jaguar ears that feign piety, and wield metal claws attached to hands.
- Hexbeaks: Colorful parrots that inaccurately repeats spells it has heard (in a squawking parrot voice) to chaotic effect. For example:
- Magic Missile becomes Tragic Missile. 3 tragic memories fill your head, all rolls with DISADV for 10 minutes.
- Invisibility becomes Invincibility. You canโt take damage for next minute.
- Fabricate becomes Fabric Ate. Thousands of moths eat any fabric you are wearing then vanish.
